Angela B. Burgess
My name is Angela Burgess. I currently serve as the Instructional Technology Specialist to Lambert High School in Forsyth County Schools.
After graduating from Marietta High School, in Marietta, GA in 1995, I attended Young Harris College in the mountains of North Georgia. While at YHC, I met my future husband. Upon earning an Associate of Arts from Young Harris, I transferred to the University of Georgia, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in French Education in May 2000. My husband and I married one week after graduation and I began teaching French in Forsyth County Schools that fall. Our son was born in July 2002. In Fall 2009, I was part of the opening staff at Lambert High School. In Spring 2012, I earned my certification to teach English/Language Arts. Throughout my time in FCS, I have taught French 1-6, AP French Language & Culture, and International Baccalaureate French B Standard Level and Higher Level, in addition to 10th Grade Literature & Composition.
I began the Master’s Program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University in Summer 2012 and graduated in May 2014. The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards. As you can see, there are a series of links below the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University, and feel that I am well-prepared to integrate technology into my classroom and to assist other educators in using technology by providing both professional learning opportunities and hands-on assistance to them as they strive to educate today's students.
